John Henry Blunt

John Henry Blunt, D.D., (1823-1884) was an English Divine, ecclesiastical historian, and theological writer, born at Chelsea, wrote largely on theological and ecclesiastical subjects. His notable works are "Prayer Book" (1867), "History of the English Reformation" (1868), "Book of Church Law" (1872), "Dictionary of Doctrinal and Historical Theology" (1870), "Dictionary of Sects and Heresies"(1874), "Annotated Bible" (3 vols., 1878–1879), and "Cyclopaedia of Religion" (1884). He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).
