John L Sullivan

John L Sullivan (1858 - 1918), full name John Lawrence Sullivan, was a US boxer. He was referred to as "Boston Strong Boy" by the press. He was the first heavyweight champion of gloved boxing, de facto reigning from 1882 to 1892.
