Jorge Carrera Andrade

Jorge Carrera Andrade (1903 - 1978), was an Ecuadorian writer, poet, essayist, anthropologist, and diplomat. He served in consular service in Japan and China. He was also representative of his country to UNESCO. He is considered one of Ecuador's premier contemporary poets, known for mastery of metaphor.
