Jyotish Majumdar was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. Born on 14.02.1908, Paikardi, Tipperah, Bangladesh,s/o Late Mohim Chandra Mazumdar. Belonged to Anusheelan Samity . Before arrest remained underground for about two years. Arrested in December 1932 in connection with Interprovincial Conspiracy Case. Sentenced to 4 and half years prison term. Deported to the Andamans. Took part in the second hunger strike. Repatriated in January, 1938. Took part in another hunger strike in Alipore jail. Served prison term during civil disobedience movement of 1930.After release detained under D.I.R. Total jail period more than 13 years.
