Kaithal

Kaithal is a district in the State of Haryana in India. It is situated in the state's north-west direction.

Under the Shitavana, referred in Mahabharata, its portion of Guhla Cheeka falls in the north-west boundary alongwith Siwan also. District Patiala of Punjab also touches its boundary. Famous 'Ghaggar' river makes these state's boundaries. Pundri Sub-Tehsil and Rajound sub-tehsil (old) fall is in its south-east direction. Rajound touches Assandh (old capital of King Parikshita of Mahabharata era) of Karnal District. Rajound and Kalayat Madhadha have remained the central spots of Rajput community. Here hustle-bustle of the emperors of Chauhan dynasty had also remained. One part of this area touches the boundary of district Jind also.
