Kali Shila is a famous place of worship in Uttarakhand state of India. It is situated at about four kilometres East of Kali Math. This rock is at the peak of a hill. According to the tradition, it is believed that the goddess Kali had killed Mahishasur at the very spot. Having killed him, the goddess turned into a rock. She is worshipped here as Mahakali. This rock is also known and famous as Kal Shila. There are many triangular yantras on it. In the middle portion of this rock there is a Sfatic (crystal stone) in the shape of a Ling.
