Karl Barth

Karl Barth (1886-1968) was a Swiss theologian. He is known for his seminal work "Epistle to the Romans" (1919). It has been influential in Protestant theology ever since it was published. The work established a neo-orthodox or theocentric approach to contemporary religious thought.
