Karl von Clausewitz

Karl von Clausewitz (1780-1831) was a Prussian general, born at Burg. He distinguished himself against Napoleon in Russia in 1812. He was also an authority on the art of war, on which he wrote a treatise in three volumes, entitled "Vom Krieg".
