Kenneth Kaunda

Kenneth Kaunda (1924-2021), full name Kenneth David Kaunda, was a Zambian nationalist and politician. He was a leading figure in Zambian independence movement. Later, he was imprisoned and the movement was banned. Upon Zambian independence in October 1964, he became first president of Zambia, however, he resigned after economic policies failed.
