Khagaria
Khagaria is a district in the State of Bihar in India. The district derives its name from its headquarters town of the same name. It lies between Latitude - 86º 28' 27" E and Longitude - 25º 30' 30" N.It has an area of 1,486 sq. km. Population of the district as per census 2011 is 1276677.

Earlier, Khagaria district was a part of the district of Munger, as a subdivision. The sub-division of Khagaria was created in the Year 1943-44. It was upgraded as district, with effect from 10th May, 1981.
