Khalil Gibran

Khalil Gibran (1883 - 1931), born Gibran Khalil Gibran, or Jibrān Khalīl Jibrān, usually referred to in English as Kahlil Gibran, was a Lebanese-American writer, poet and visual artist of the US. He is also considered a philosopher although he himself rejected the title. He is best known as the author of "The Prophet" (1923), that became one of the best-selling books of all time. It has been translated into more than 100 languages.
