Kimberley

Kimberley is a city in South Africa, located at 500 miles North-East of Cape Town. It is capital of South Africa’s Northern Cape Province, and was formerly of Griqualand West. It is chief inland town in South Africa, in a dry but healthy situation. It exists in virtue of diamond mines in the vicinity, the richest in the world.

Kimberley is also the name of a district in the North of West Australia, a district of rising prosperity.
