Klausthal

Klausthal is a German town in Lower Saxony, formerly in the Prussian province of Hanover, 25 miles North-East of Göttingen. It is the chief mining town of the northern Hartz Mountains, and the seat of the German mining administration, surrounded by silver, copper, lead, and zinc mines.
