LAMAISM, Buddhism as was professed in Tibet and Mongolia, or the worship of Buddha and his DHAMMA; conceived of as incarnated in the SANGHA or priesthood, and especially in the Grand Lama or Dalai Lama, the chief priest; a kind of hero-worship, or at all events saint-worship; long since sunk into mere IDOLATRY.
