Laura Bridgman
Laura Bridgman (1829-1889) was a deaf, dumb, and blind child, born in New Hampshire, U.S. She was noted for the surprising development of intellectual faculty notwithstanding these drawbacks. Dickens gives an account of her in his "American Notes".Nearby pages
