Lavrenti Beria

Lavrenti Beria (1899 — 1953), full name Lavrenti Pavlovich Beria, was a Soviet politician. He was also head of the secret police during 1938 — 53. He was arrested after Joseph Stalin's death and was subsequently executed in 1953.
