Liegnitz

Liegnitz was a town in the Prussian province of Silesia, now an industrial town in South-West Poland, 40 miles North-West of Breslau, where Frederick the Great gained a victory over the Austrians in 1760.

Liegnitz was also the name of the administrative region in the Prussian Province of Silesia and later Lower Silesia.
