Wisdom & Quotes

  • A hundred years are no more than
The dream of a butterfly.
Looking back, how one sighs for
The things of the past !

Yesterday spring came;
This morning the flowers wither.
Let us hasten with the forfeit cup
Before the night is spent and the
Lamp goes out.
- Autumn Thoughts
  • Gold in piles, Jade in heaps
- then comes a single day old
death sweeps them all away !
What use are they
- The cloudless hour, the day
Beign, salute with carven cup
And amber wine.
With swaying waists, with flashing
Teeth and eyes
Ah, there's where pleasure truly lies.
