Mahakali Mandir at Kalimath is in Uttarakhand state of India. This temple is the abode of Bhagawati Mahakali. It is a famous Shaktipeeth. There is a mythological story attatched to this place. It is believed that the goddess had killed here the two demons Shumbha and Nishumbh. The idol of Mahakali is kept in public view only on certain occasion, especially on eighth day of the Sharad Navratra. On the other days, the goddes is worshipped by devotees here at Kund in the form of Yantra.
