Margaret Mitchell

Margaret Mitchell (1900 - 1949), full name Margaret Munnerlyn Mitchell, was a US novelist and journalist. She wrote only one novel, published during her lifetime, "Gone with the Wind", a novel of American civil war era, for which she won the National Book Award for Fiction for Most Distinguished Novel of 1936 and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1937.
