Margaret Sanger

Margaret Sanger (1883-1966) was an American social activist, writer, editor and nurse. She founded birth control movement in United States. She opened first US birth control clinic in Brooklyn, New York in 1916. She organized first birth control conference in 1921. She was also founder and first president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
