Marie Angelique Arnauld

Marie Angelique Arnauld (1624-1684), also called La Mère Angelique, was a French Jansenist. She was sister of the the prominent Jansenist theologian Antoine Arnauld (the Great Arnauld). She was abbess of the Port Royal, a victim of the persecutions of the Jesuits to very death.
