Max Frisch

Max Frisch (1911-1991), full name Max Rudolf Frisch, was a Swiss playwright and novelist. His works focused on problems of identity, individuality, responsibility, morality, and political commitment. He was one of the founders of Gruppe Olten. He was awarded the Jerusalem Prize in 1965, the Grand Schiller Prize in 1973, and the Neustadt International Prize for Literature in 1986.
