Michael Harrington

Michael Harrington (1928-1989), full name Edward Michael Harrington Jr, was a US democratic socialist, writer, academician, theorist, and political activist. He is best known as the author of "The Other America". He was also professor of political science, and radio commentator. He was a founding member of the Democratic Socialists of America, and its most influential early leader.
