Michel Chevalier
Michel Chevalier (1806-1879) was a celebrated French economist, born at Limoges. He was originally a Socialist of the St. Simonian school. For defending Socialism, he was imprisoned, but recanted, and wrote ably against Socialism. He was a free-trader and coadjutor of Cobden.Nearby pages
