Miguel Hildalgo

Miguel Hildalgo (1753-1811) was a Mexican priest and revolutionary. He is known as prime instigator of Mexican independence. He used to rang church bell to promote revolution against Spanish rule. He marched on Mexico city with an army of eighty thousand. However, he was captured and shot.
