Minorca

Minorca is the second of the Balearic Isles in the Mediterranean Sea. The island belongs to Spain, and is hilly, with stalactite caves and rocky coast. It is less fertile than Majorca, from which it is 25 miles distant North East. It produces oil, wine, and fruits, and makes boots and shoes. The capital Mahon, in the South East, is strongly fortified, and has a good harbour.
