Mohit Mitra was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. Born in Calcutta. S/o Late Hemchandra Moitra. Lived in Natun, Bharenga, Pabna, Bangladesh. Belonged to Yugantar Party Rangpur group. Arrested on February 2nd 1932 in Calcutta. Sentenced to 5 years prison. Deported to the Andamans.Took part in first hunger strike in May 1933. While on hunger strike developed Lober Pneumonia. As a result of the pouring in of milk in the wind pipe instead of stomach. While being forcibly fed by a rubber tube. Rashly pushed through the nasal passage in consequence was martyred on 20.05 1933 in the Cellular jail.
