Molecule

Molecule is the smallest particle of which an element or a compound body is composed, and that retains all the properties of the element or compound in a free state.

These are particles that normally consist of two or more atoms joined together. An example is a water molecule that is made up of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.
