Moncure Conway
Moncure Conway (1832-1907), full name Moncure Daniel Conway, also Moncure D Conway, was an American writer and abolitionist minister, born in Virginia, in the United States. He began life as a Unitarian preacher. He came to England as a lecturer on war. He became leader of the advanced school of thought, so called. He was a great admirer of Emerson, and wrote, among other works, "Emerson at Home and Abroad" (1882).Nearby pages
