Monpa

Monpa is a tribe of India. This community lives mainly in Arunachal Pradesh. Monpas are simple, gentle and courteous people. They are friendly and possess a rich heritage of culture. They dress well in artistically designed clothes. They follow Buddhism and profess Mahayana Buddhism which centre round the Tawang Monastery. They have a very good life, personal or social. Their houses generally have a small chapel attached to it.
