Mrs Gaskell

Mrs Gaskell, née Stevenson(1810-1865), full name Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell, was and English novelist and biographer, born at Cheyne Row, Chelsea. She was authoress of "Mary Barton," "Ruth," "Silvia's Lovers," &c., and the "Life of Charlotte Brontë," her friend.
