Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali (1942- 2016), born Cassius Marcellus Clay, was a boxer of the United States. This American athlete is three-time world heavyweight boxing champion in 1964, 1974, and 1978. He is the only boxer of the world who became three times world champion, but was stripped of his title after his conversion to Islam for refusing army service on conscientious objector grounds. However, the Supreme Court of the United States overturned this decision and restored his title in 1976. He retired in 1981. His name is one of the most recognized names in sports around the world.
