Mutiny at the Nore

Mutiny at the Nore was a mutiny in the fleet stationed at the Nore in England, an anchorage off Sheerness, in the Thames, which broke out on May 20, 1797, and was not suppressed till June 15, for which the ringleaders were tried and hanged.
