Nandan Pahar is in Deoghar district of Jharkhand in India. It is situated at about 3 kms away from Baba Baidyanath station. The temples on the hill have idols of Shiva, Parvati, Ganesh and Kartik. There is a water tank to supply potable water to the people of Deoghar. People go there to see sunrise and sunset and the Deoghar town too. The name of this hill is derived from Nandi, the doorkeeper of Lord Shiv. According to the legend, once King Ravana tried to enter Shivadham by force. Nandi, being the doorkeeper, obstructed his entrance. It angered Ravana, who threw him away. Nandi fell here. Here is also a park named Nandan Hill Entertainment Park.
