Napoleon Bonaparte

Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), also known as Napoleon I, nicknamed 'Armed Soldier of Democracy' was the Emperor of the French from 1804 to 1814, and then briefly again in 1815. He rose from a military officer to the leader of the French Republic as First Consul in1799 and then of the French Empire, and finally became Emperor in 1804.
