Niels Bohr
Niels Bohr (1885 — 1962), full name Niels Henrik David Bohr, was a Danish physicist, pioneer in quantum physics. His theory of the structure of the atom which incorporated quantum theory for the first time, formed the basis for present-day quantum-mechanical models. He is known for helping in development of the atom bomb in Britain and then in the US. He was awarded Nobel Prize for Physics in 1922.
