Niranjan Sen Gupta was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. Born 1902 , Barisal, Bangladesh, s/o Late Sarbananda Sengupta . Joined Anusheelan Samity in 1921. A student leader, organiser of All India Students Conference. Elected Secretary of the first Student's Union of Krishnanath College- Berhampur. Was sent there to organise Anusheelan Samity. As a B.Sc. student arrested under B.C.L.A. in 1925. Released in 1928. Arrested for Mechubazar Bomb Case on 19.12.1929. Sentenced to 7 years transportation. Deported to Andamans. One of the participants of the hunger strike of May 1933. Repatriated in 1939. Total jail period more than 10 years.
