North Passage Island

North Passage Island is an uninhabited island in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a Union Territory of India. This Chicken Necked island is situated in the North and Middle Andaman district.

It is at about 30 km northeast of Havelock island, between Strait island immediately to its south (home to the last remnants of the Great Andamanese tribe), Guitar island and Long island immediately to the north. To the east of North Passage island, across the channel, lies John Lawrence island in Ritchie’s archipelago and much closer west lies the expanse of Middle Andaman.

The island has a beautiful beach called Merk Bay Beach, famous for its coral, white sandy, shallow beach.
