North West Delhi

North West Delhi is a district in the Union Territory of Delhi in India. Total area of the district is 443 sq km. The headquarters of the district is also the headquarters of Saraswati Vihar tahsil. The district is bounded by Haryana in the north, Uttar Pradesh in the north-east, North District in the east, West district in the south, and Haryana in the west.

There are three tahsils in the district - Narela, Saraswati Vihar and Model Town. The total population of the district as per census 2011 was 36.5 lakhs. The decadal growth rate in population of the district was 27.8 per cent. The rural areas of the district has shown a negative growth of -19.4 per cent due to treatment of 17 villages as new census towns in 2011.

There are three sub-districts - Narela, Saraswati Vihar, and Model Town. There is only one community development block - North West.

There are only 52 villages in the district out of which 48 are inhabited.

The number of statutory town in the district is only one, and census towns are 33.
