Pandit Ram Rakha was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. Born at Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Was the Principal accused in Mandalay, Myanmar, Conspiracy Case. Sentenced to transportation for life. Deported to the Cellular jail. Breathed his last in 1919 while he was on hunger strike in protest against the high handed measures adopted by jail. Authorities in respect of the freedom fighters incarcerated there in and particularly tohim by not allowing him to wear his sacred thread.
