!PARABLE A parable is a short allegorical narrative that has an implicit but detailed analogy between its component parts and the principle it wants to bring home to us. It is intended to illustrate and convey some spiritual instruction. For example, Christ’s parable of the Good Samaritan or the parable of the fig tree.
