Poa-Mecca

Poa-Mecca, also spelled Poa Macca, is a famous mosque situated at Hajo, a small town near Guwahati in Assam in India. This mosque was built by Pir Giasuddin Aulia and is held that it has one-fourth sanctity of Mecca. That is why it is known as Poa-Mecca.

It is in Kamrup district of Assam in India. There is also a tomb of seer Giasuddin Auliya. It is believed by member of certain Muslim sects that one can achieve one fourth of the spiritual enlightenment of what is gained at Mecca by offering prayers at this tomb.
