Pondos

Pondos are an ethnic group in Africa. They speak Xhosa. They are a branch of Zulu, occupying territory called Pondo Land, a narrow strip about 50 km wide from the coast across the thornveld to the interior plateaus in the west, which was annexed to Cape Colony, in South Africa, in 1894 by Sir Henry George Elliot.
