Rabat
Rabat, known also as New Sallee, or New Salé, is the capital port city of Morocco, finely situated on elevated ground overlooking the mouth of the Bu-Ragrag River, 115 miles South-East of Fez. It is surrounded by walls, and has a commanding citadel, a noted tower, interesting ruins, &c. It manufactures carpets, mats, &c., and exports olive-oil, grain, wool, &c.Nearby pages
