!Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park
Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park is situated in the Darrang District of the state of Assam in India. It covers an area of 78.81 sq km. Sixty percent of the sanctuary is grassland. It is the oldest game reserve of the State.
One-horned Rhinoceros, Leopard, Elephant, Sambar, Barking Deer, Tiger, Green Pigeon, Florican, Teal , Goose, Pelican, Cormorant, Greylag Goose, Large Whistling Teal, Great Adjutant Stork, King Vulture etc. are found in this sanctuary.
It is also an important breeding ground for many fish varieties.
222 species of Birds have so far been recorded, some of which are Spot Billed Pelican, White Pelican, Greater Adjutant Stork, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Brahminy Duck, Pintail Duck, Bengal Florican (2nd highest concentration) etc.
