!RAJMAHAL Rajmahal is an interesting old Indian town in Sahibganj district of Jharkhand in India. This small town crowns an elevated site on the Ganges and has ruins of several palaces. It is situated on the right bank of the river Ganges. Rajmahal town is historically important town of the country. It was the seat of governance during the Mughal period. Raja Man Singh, the general of Emperor Akbar had made Rajmahal the capital of Bengal in 1592. The town has therfore many ruins of the period. Major places of interest in this small town are the monuments like Singhi Dalan, Akbari Masjid, Tomb of Maina Bibi, and Tomb of Miran etc.
