In the 2003 assembly elections of this constituency, winner was SINGHI RAM of INC. He polled 27757 votes (65.83%) of the total valid votes polled. BRIJ LAL of the BJP was runner up. He polled 10510 votes (24.92%). GURDYAL of CPM polled 2202 votes (5.22%) and stood at third position. The fourth position was acquired by BRESI LAL of SP. He polled 1698 votes (4.03%). The total number of electors in this constituency was 61092. Poll percentage was 69.03%. VALID VOTES : 42167 VOTERS : 42171.
