Ranchi Hill is in Jharkhand, India, was formerly known as "Fansi Tungri" meant the hill for hanging prisoners. The hill is situated in the heart of the capital city of Jharkhand. It is situated at an altitude of 2140 feet from the sea level near Ratu Road. The hill is about 300 ft high. Now, there is a Shiv Mandir at the top of the hill called Pahari Mandir. It is a very beautiful Mandir of Lord Shiv. One needs to climb up through the stairs to reach lord Shiva's Mandir. During Sawan or Shravan month this place becomes a favourite destination for the devoties of Shiv. People come to ask something from Shiv, and when their wishes are fulfilled they come again to thank him. It is also a favourite place for tourists. From its top, one can see the whole Ranchi town. Its real name is 'RICHI BURU'. It is perhaps the best place to have a bird's eye view for the Capital Ranchi.
