Rangat
Rangat is an island in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a Union Territory of India. It is spread over an area of 1070 sq km. It is located in the Bay of Bengal in Middle Andaman, about 95 km north of Port Blair.Rangat has pristine beaches, waterfalls, and interesting islands. The Amkunj beach is just 10 km away from Rangat township. Cutbert Bay beach is a turtle nesting ground. Moricedera Beach is 12 km away from Rangat.
This island is spread across 75 census villages and 14 gram panchayats. The population is primarily made up of people from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Fisheries and cultivation are the two primary occupations of people in this island.
